The best alternative is a low-fat popcorn for its crunch factor and high volume of satiety, BUT you can only eat so much plain popcorn. Alas, here we are – Today's recipe solves that problem! We have stumbled upon one of Elite Supps Athletes recipe and thought to share it with you guys - how to make great tasting protein popcorn.
This recipe is absolutely AMAZING! The popcorn is so crunchy, and has a perfect balance of flavors! Plus they are super filling, which is perfect for in between meals or on top of oats/ smoothie bowls.
Protein Snicker Popcorn delivers addicting taste and a powerful punch of protein that is sure to leave you feeling satisfied... or wanting more!
▪️3 tbsp Pb @mayversfood
▪️1/3 cup + 1/4 cup almond milk @almondbreezeaus
▪️2 tbsp coconut oil @niulife
▪️1 scoop protein choc salted caramel @atpscience
▪️2 tbsp sugar free maple syrup
1. Mix all ingredients together, leaving out the popcorn for the next steps.
2. Add in 40g popcorn into the bowl and use your hands to ‘marinate’ the popcorn in the mixture.
3. Then add the rest of the popcorn in and mix with your hands until fully combined.
4. Spread popcorn across a lined baking tray, and sprinkle with salt before putting it in the oven at 160d for 5-15mins OR if you have an air fryer, put half of the mixture in at a time, at 160d for 4 mins each batch.
Put aside in a strainer type bowl to cool completely. . 💛SERVES 6 . .
